8.30am – 4.45pm Monday to Friday
The library is open after school until 4.45pm each afternoon for homework and study for students from Years 5 to 12.
All classes from K-4 have a weekly lesson time in the Library. During this time they have the opportunity to borrow books as well as take part in a lesson focusing on literature appreciation or information literacy. Students in Years 5 and 6 come to the Library each fortnight as part of their English program.
The Library also hosts a number of special events during the year including author visits, National Simultaneous Story Time, The Chief Minister’s Reading Challenge, Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge, Great Book Swap and Book Week activities.
Students at the Lyneham Campus ELC also have the opportunity to visit the Library each week for borrowing and story time with Library Staff. Charnwood students have access to their own Library for borrowing and weekly visits from our Library Staff.
The Library offers a comfortable and inviting work environment for all students wishing to read or complete work during lunch breaks or study periods.
